Could you use some clear silicone caulking to cover the wrong holes. Silicone is very resilient and lasts for years, and if applied gently will not look bad either.

We actually thought about that since we are supposed to use silicone to seal the edges of the panels together, but also though about using some of the scrap panels left over and cutting strips just long enough to cover the drill holes using silicone to seal it in place. Cross your fingers, lol. Thanks for the idea, if the scrap panels don't work, we'll go straight for plugging the holes with the silicone.
