Im trying to rate them but I am having a hard time because I feel like I am judging people .

I'm rating on quality of the post. Not the coop itself. I don't mind if it's made out of a shoe as long as they wrote up a nice article on shoe size, shoe materials, shoe durability, etc. Personally, I do not feel as if I am judging. It could be a 10k coop but if it's just one picture and no description it gets one star. Just my 2cents.

So @Nifty-Chicken yes it just shows my one review on there.

I believe the “vote” tally is the relevant one here. See how there’s 1 review (yours) but 3 votes? Pretty sure those votes are what average into the star rating and that is what we’re really tallying up in this “coop rating project.”

Correct me if I’m wrong mods. I got confused too when I saw some with a review tab and others without.

Agreed. I’ve been rating first on how informative and easy to understand the article is, and how easy it would be to build my own version (blueprints, materials list, clear construction photos, good tips and ideas).

Secondary is the actual quality of the coop. Sometimes I leave a comment about more ventilation or that “hardware cloth would be great!”

what if, and I truly dont understand , this is why I am asking. What if all the plans are there in great detail along with tons of pictures only to see its 2x4 ft coop ? Does it still get 5 stars ? Or what if the coop is so so but they have worked their butts off on the best run you have ever seen ?

That's where I am leaving comments. Not everyone wants or needs a giant coop. If its well built and can be easily expanded I say so nicely and add something I really like about it.
