~The Council Of Youngers of BYC! (COY)~

I am the Lorax; I speak for the woods!
But I plaster my likeness on consumer goods.

(That was on a rhyming episode of the Simpsons last night. I don't usually watch the Simpsons, but I was at that particular point in time lacking spectacularly in desire to move from the couch, so I watched the Simpsons.)

Ooj, I shall join you in the woods once I manage to haul myself up out of the state of physical inactivity - hopefully you can get a headstart and save some trees before I arrive. :D

University starts tomorrow. I've read through all my course outlines. The topics for chemistry and maths are all looking astonishingly familiar, maybe because I've spent the past two years slaving over them in high school.

I'm still deciding whether or not this is going to turn out to be a good thing. :P

Verily well, Joo! I shall await your arrival.

I too watch miscellaneous whatnots when I find myself immobilized on a couch/bed/chair/floor. I never have the remote in reach in those times of need!

Yay! I shall not be alone in my knowledges and collegian exploits!
It took me until the end of last semester to decide I liked it, lol. Seriously, I was totally not on board for the first couple weeks.
It did turn out to be fun, though. Minus the learning part, most of that isn't very fun. I have another presentation to work on tonight, I also have to figure out how to set up a power point.
And I have also been thinking about switching majors. So, fun and confusing.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly! I wanna hear about it whenever you have the time, too!
Need to make sure my lil grow'd up Joo is spreading her wings! Or arms. Sometimes I forget people lack wings, and that the majority also lack common sense. Another thing I knew about but have now fully experienced at college. lol

Common sense is a nice thing to have, sometimes. :P

I started my volunteer job yesterday. It brings back memories of work in The Shop when I was 14. Our friend paid me twenty bucks a day to man the checkout (an ancient piece of technology I got quite proficient at humouring), but of course I wanted to tag the stock and put it on the shelves as well (often involving the violent rearranging of the ill-fitting hooks on the walls and the carting around of large boxes) as sometimes there were no customers and it's quite tedious sitting there doing nothing but attempting to understand Garfield comics in Chinese (the library woman down the shopping complex gave us some discards lol) which was about as successful as me on the internet trying to understand Garfield comics in Russian. (The one about pies was good!)

If I was doing a proper job (i.e. not trying to scrape up some work experience with the help of a family friend failing to make enough money on most days) for the amount of hours I did that holiday I would've made at least two thousand dollars. As it was I had about 400 at the end of it. Oh well. :P It was fun. Kind of. There was air con in the shop but it didn't reach the checkout...

MH: I'm studying chem eng and my first class starts in 40 minutes :P I wanted to do some sort of engineering, in accordance with my best subjects at school and my interests, and my father suggested this one due to flexibility when it comes to jobs. Maybe one day I'll work in a factory. I'll join some unions. It's going to be awesome.

Hi, ducklingsweety! You can come here to chat to us! (although I'm not online when you guys are because I'm in Australia. :P The time stamp on your post shows you posted at 5.55AM my time, lol.)
Nice avatar, by the way. ;) I had the mint bunny as mine once, sometime last year. But I change avatars quite a lot, things that I'm into vary and interest comes and goes.

Fierlin, I know somebody studying chemical engineering... You guys amaze me. I can't imagine being able to fit that kind of information in my head. Bravo! I shall sit here and be amazed, feeling pathetic and highschool-y.
