We are getting overrun with them too; use to have hunters set up base every week-end and run dogs through our area, but they don't do that anymore, so the population has really escalated. We hear the pups from two directions, and while we don't actually "see" any, we know they are out there. I know the pyrs with the Alpacas will keep them at bay, plus we have the small welded wire around that enclosure. Cost a lot, but we are so glad we did it. We have an over population of deer too, they are running wild and crazy all the time, interstate is literally plastered with them from the truckers hitting them, and you would think the coyotes would go after them, because there is a herd of 6-7 that run right East of our house all the time. Come to think of it, I haven't seen those deer for awhile . . ..hmmmmmmmm
The wolf urine is a great idea; I am assuming you can order it, as how would you get it otherwise? Reminds me of the movie Jurassic Park where the kid has T-rex pee to use as a safety net around his hideout. Sam Neil asks him how he got it, and he said, you don't want to know!!!! Sort of the same thing with a wolf!! My brother actually has two female wolves . . .but I would guess the male is what works best?
