That's awesome! My ameracauna rooster (owl) will not let anyone touch him. We had to wait till it was dark to catch him on the roost to put his Velcro collar on him. Even then he hates being touched. I had him since he was 1 day old, and he used to love to be held. He would jump up in my lap and ride around the yard sitting on my shoulder... When we thought he was a girl.... I just wish he would let me pet him again

lol it's crazy the changes they go through stubborn ***** they're amazing though. That's great he use to chill on your shoulder a couple of our boys hop up on us and chill all the time

I have a funny story. I was out in the run filling the feeder and filling the water bucket. I hear one if my girls sqwaking like crazy. So I peek inside the house. My Leghorn (snow) is standing outside the nesting boxes ... She yelling for like 5 minutes.. so I step inside the house to see my little baby ( Charlie) sitting inside the box just as quite as can be... But Snow was standing there sqwaking at her. As if the say " hey lady, get your but out of my spot".. I thought it was pretty funny. Especially since I have 5 other boxes that were all empty. I wish I had my phone so I could have captured it.

Oh wow lol it's funny how specific and crazy they get

GUYS OH MY GOSH A FANTABULAS THING JUST HAPPENED!!!! if you remember a while back i was deciding whether or not to go to a city township meeting to discuss chicken keeping, they allowed us to have one for each member of our family (6), and today in the newspaper, ON THE FRONT PAGE, was a headline reading: Board OKs chicken keeping policy, and other rules"! then you turn the page and it says" you can keep up to 10, 10, chickens, but no roosters and it must be at least 200 feet from the road". the perfect conditions for us! me and my little brother are the most happiest! lol, we were just designing the coop interior when my little sister, (they are twins) ran up to me and said "Sophie Sophie you've GOT to read this!" eeep! my mom and dad even said they would allow us to own more than six chickens!!!! i can not even explain my happiness to you right now!

Congrats But just to warn you plan on only getting 2 just to factor in the chicken math if you want 2 you get 10
