Crow sat in a tree. He was in his human-form, for now. He picked at his tattered shirt and swung his legs. He watched with curiosity as two human-appearing creatures stopped at the stream below. He didn’t see a need to engage with them- being raised as a crow had made him wary of socialization with the gifted or the humans.

"I'm gifted." Ash said, suddenly thinking of Clover, who had disappeared without warning, he gently tucked that thought away and continued, "I'm guessing you're gifted too? what are you abilities?"

"I can heal anything, even if someone is about to die, though people seem afraid of the power. I've heard a few thinking that it may backfire on me someday. I don't know how or why. I've healed about 6 times already. I can also communicate with people and animals through thought and hear their thoughts. I haven't done it in a while, though."

"that's cool." Ash said, "how would it backfire on you though?"he thought aloud.
 
Crow wondered what they were saying. He couldn’t hear them well from his perch. He carefully hopped to a lower branch, his bare feet making a soft thud noise as they hit it. Maybe that wasn’t such a good idea. They might’ve heard me. He considered. Well, if he wanted to get away, he could always turn into a crow. But that would mean ditching his clothes. He grimaced.

he jerked his head up as a thud from the trees sounded.
