DBF and I have decided that if we ever get meat birds there are 2 rules:
1. No names.
2. Don't play with your food (i.e. no handling).

My roosters are always Lester, since I intend to eat at least most of them. (of course, that leads to jokes about eating Lester noodle soup, or Lester A la King for dinner). I admit, I haven't named any of my hens because I can't keep track of which is which, so only the males get a name, and they all get to share it. I'd have a lot harder time eating my birds who have actual names too.
