The Dragons were on their way, keeping high and above the cloud cover as to not be seen until they were ready.

Most were out on patrol or at an outpost, while others were on break and making sure all was peaceful between the empire.

As they neared the Darklands, Snake climbed to a higher altitude to stay hidden from the Hooligigos. He nodded to the Dragons circling behind him and they moved into attack position.

She glanced up and caught a glimpse of movement in the clouds. She sighed, but continued with her business, unworried.

The first Dragon tucked his wings and dove, plunging through the clouds like a comet aimed directly at Salina.

The outpost remained silent. "Did you... here that?" Marc asked Ulrich, as the sound of wings cutting through the crisp, still winter knight made a woosh of air go by. "Yeah. That was weird..." Ulrich whispered back to his commander. "I'll keep my eye out for things."

Suddenly, a black shape could be seen plunging from the sky, heading towards the outpost. It had a very streamlined body and seemed to cut through the air like a knife. Wings tucked tight against its body it gained speed rapidly, moving so fast it was hard to see clearly.

Before they got in range of the swords, the leader of the pair shot a jet blue ball of flames towards the outpost. It smacked hard into the stone and exploded, leaving a dent in the stone. The pair flared their wings and rocketed in a tight circle, speeding back up into the clouds.

She got up and continued stealthily towards the dragon camp.
