"No! Fido! Wait! I'm sorry... I, I didn't mean it!! Please!" I heard Buddy howl from behind me, but I kept going. I couldn't go back. Buddy... well, he just wasn't the same anymore! I was so mad at him... how dare he say that he lost his best friend... what about ME? No... maybe I was mad at myself... I don't know! I stopped at a creek to drink, and the cold water stung my tongue. Suddenly, something came crashing through the brush and out popped Rio! "Re... Rio?" I stuttered. He gasped for breath, apparently winded because he had followed me so fast. "Can... can... um, can I come with... you?" he stammered, feeling a little shy. "Why don't you stay with Buddy?" I said sarcasticly, as anger still burned inside me. "You seem... nicer. But I do feel bad for him... he has lost everyone now. He does love you, ya know. He was calling for you." He said. I sighed and said slowly, "I need some time away from him I think, as he probably does as well." Rio nodded his head and clucked in approval. We walked south, towards the nearest town. Suddenly a squeaky voice said, "Oh hi! Hi! Hi, i'm Zip! Hi! Hey, I know you!!! You're... you're Fido!!!"
