"The day my world turned upside down" story

"Gracie! Please, hang on!" Buddy whimpered in her ear frantically! "Get these dogs out of here!" A man called to our owner. Quickly, our owner hurried us out into the waiting room once again. "Its okay, guys... she'll be fine." My master said shakily. Buddy had his eyes and ears fixed on the door. Rio was asleep on a chair, purring in his sleep. Me and Hope sat and looked anxiously at the door as well. A few hours later, a lady came out and said, "She's going to pull through!" Barks, squawks and yells of joy filled the building! "Yes!" I barked, Buddy wagged his tail so fast it was a blur and Rio clucked excitedly. "Now, you may come in and see her." The vet said. So we all barged in, Buddy first, because she was his mate. Gracie lay in a cage with a blanket surrounding her and her belly bandaged up. Buddy slowly, as if he couldn't believe it was her, approached the cage. "Buddy...." she whimpered softly, and then they touched noses lovingly. "Aw." I said, just like they do when someone kisses or hugs. When I did that, Buddy glared at me, but Gracie thumped her tail on the side of the cage and woofed, "Fido!" I came up to the cage and woofed, "Gracie! You're alive!" After all the happiness had died down, our master said "Lets go home." When we got home, I ran inside and flopped on the couch, just like the old days.
A week later, I awoke from the couch on a snowy morning and looked around me. Buddy and Gracie lay on rug infront of the fire as Gracie licked Tucker affentionately. Rio sat on the floor next to them by the fire, and Hope lay next to me on the couch. Master sat in his chair, reading a book by candlelight.
And so, Buddy and Fido's story ends here, but Tucker has many more hidden in his future.

Can I hear some applause? That book turned out great! Who wants book 2????!!!!
