The *Delta* Thread!!

when we went to Arizona last year, we went southwest to and delta back. i much preferred the delta flight. the plane was more comfertable, seems better put together (the SW plane was squeaking, i was hoping it wouldnt fall apart

) plus it had TV lol

I had posted this elsewhere on here, but we were on a Delta flight four or five years ago that had a medical emergency during the flight. My DH is an EMT so he was trying to assist. We landed under emergency circumstances in Atlanta. I do not know any of the rules about this stuff, but when it was clear that this passenger was dying that plane flew! And I had never experienced a landing like that! Really steep sharp turn, really steep decent fast taxi etc it was cool! It was very steep and sharp but still smooth as glass.

So after the passenger was taken off to an ambulance (she did not make it, but it was not for lack of trying.) The pilot came out to thank DH, and I complimented him on the flying. I said, "Don't tell anyone, but I actually enjoyed that!" He laughed and whispered, "Don't tell anyone, but so did I!"

We were delayed by 4 hours but that was not Delta's fault. Are they allowed to tell a passenger they will not fly them due to the passenger's medical condition?? This woman was too sick, on oxygen etc... when she got on board.

My father is retired Delta (30 years between Tampa and Atlanta). I travel (or did, currently looking for a job, but that's another story) a lot and fly Delta exclusively. I have maintained at least Silver or Gold Medallion status for years. Fortunately Delta is still one of the airlines that DOES still know what customer service is all about

I'm trying to do a project for school. They tell you to go toddle off and a year later you have to come back with a project about... well, anything you want.

Delta history is one of my options at the moment. It is scary that I still have options, because we were meant to submit our proposals last month.
