I am so sorry three of Penny's puppies didnt make it. On the bright side Penny is doing well and you have a healthy boy and girl to nurture.
We went through the same thing on Sept 27th, our lab had 8 puppies 4 boys and 4 girls. Two boys and two girls were born dead but the other 4 are healthy and thriving.
Sorry we have been MIA for a couple of days. On Monday afternoon Penny was rushed in for an emergency c-section after WhelpWise monitoring showed one puppys heartbeat dipping into a critical area.
On section in one horn was William and Grace. Sadly, in the other horn were 2 mummified dead puppies, and another one with a cleft palate which regretfully I had euthanized.
William and Grace are doing well, gaining weight rapidly, and as always Penny is a fabulous and attentive mother. Here are some pictures to enjoy.
Oh my goodness Red!!! They are beautiful!! I love watching them daily on the live cam. If only you could bottle up some of that puppy breath and send it to me, lol.
I just want to say that you are an amazing breeder/handler!! I am truely amazed at the work you do!! Penny, Milton, William, Grace, and any other's that I may have left out are very lucky dogs
They are gorgeous, congrats! It always amazes me that BYB and people who just don't care about their litters always seem to have big healthy litters with no complications, and when a litter is carefully planned and all precautions are taken something always goes wrong! I'm sure the two that made it will grow up to be gorgeous representations of their breed!
