This going to sound harsh I am sorry. But you & DH have worked hard over the years to have what you have, paid into a retirement & saved for your retirement. You have earned the right to have the few comforts that working folks have, which isn't alot.

They need to grow up take responsibility for their own actions & decisions. You work & sacrifice to have what little you have so when you can no longer work & take care of everything yourself you have something to fall back on .

There is all kinds of educational loans & grants that can be applied for & used. If DD is serious about leaving then get on with it apply for the assistance needed to go to school. Every woman out there has had to work full time & go to school full time, set some priorities & just do it. 30 yrs ago I wasn't too happy about growing up & getting in touch with reality either but nobody was gonna do it for me & the kids.
You have raised your kids sounds like it is time they grow up & raise themselves & their children. I deeply apologize if I have offended you

as you are one on this forum I look to for info. Many thoughts & prayers go with you & DH as all your buttons get pushed & emotions come into play.
