I would pull those goslings as soon as they hatch and put Ina brooder. Then see what mama does. If you have an incubator, transfer all eggs to it if she stops setting.

Thanks for the advice I will pull them as soon as they hatch. I think they broke through the the air cell membrane tonight when I was candling them soooo excited!!!!

Congrats! I hear Canada geese can be very nice pets. Just make sure you have your paperwork for yours handy in case Fish and Game gets called and you have to prove they're legal - and you'll have to either pinion them or keep on top of wing clipping so they don't fly away.

@NathanZee I was going to quote you but I don't want to go digging through the last ten pages of pictures to find where your post to me was so I'll just mention you instead :p I don't think I'll clip her wing. I can't get near her to do so and if I did it would undo all the progress I've made with her. When she first arrived she'd run at the sight of me if she thought I was looking at her. Now I can actually walk in her direction and pass by her and she doesn't mind which is a huge leap forward. If I grabbed her to clip her she'd probably never trust me again. I don't think she'll leave. I think she came back when she lost her sister because she wanted the company of my other goose and without another goose to leave with I doubt she'll go far. She won't however be allowed to free range.

I understand wanting to share, and we definitely don't mind pictures in here, but next time could you please put more than one picture in each post you make? It's considered bad forum etiquette to repeatedly post in a thread, especially to the point that it adds almost ten new pages to the thread that are nothing but one picture per post. It could probably be considered spam. It makes it really hard for people to go through the thread to see the newest posts and discussions. If you don't know how to do more than one picture per post, it's the same procedure as adding the first picture to your post, you just repeat it for the next picture you want to add instead of submitting your post. I am definitely not trying to be mean, I just figured maybe you didn't know that it was considered to be bad etiquette and I wanted to let you know for the future.

Ok thanks I
L make sure to keep them up to regs. When you say pinion and wing clipping what does it mean to pinion them? And I know how to clip their wings by cutting the feathers right but I don't know how to do it so they don't fly even when their feathers aren't cut. If I clip their wings so they can't fly away do I have to worry about any paper work? If that makes any sense.:lau
