Happy New Year from Dingo, Waddles, Blinky and Darcy!

Happy New Years, they look nice a happy.
They are adorable and getting so big.

Thank you, they are getting big and eat so much!

Yesterday while holding my duck Ana, she sounded like she had a stuffy nose. Walking around she is as active and healthy looking as always, just when I picked her up I could hear it. What should I do for this? I called my husband hoping to get him in time to stop by the farm store yesterday, but I was too late. Any suggestions? He can stop by the farm store today and get something. I also have apple cider vinager. I know that's good for some things. Any advice would be great. For the moment it's just Ana with the "stuffy nose" breathing. Elsa's breathing is fine.

How old is Ana, I'd go ahead and put some ACV in to their water deep enough for them to wash their faces really good. 1-2 Tab to 1 gallon of water I'd go with 2Tab. Do this for today and tomorrow I hesitate putting them on an antibiotic right off especially when you don't know what your dealing with. Do you have Oxine ah another good product to have on hand it can be made up and misted right on their faces. Vet RX is another good one it's similar to vicks vapo rub but for poultry. Any other symptoms? Vet RX can also be used in their water but not at the same time as the ACV

She is a little over 7 months and this is the only symptom she is showing. She's still laying an egg a day, eating normal, full of energy and foraging. I'll add the apple cider vinager to their deep dish! Thank you. That is all I have in hand, I will go to the local farm store tomorrow and get some stuff to have on hand incase she seems to be getting worse. I'll look online at what you recommended too. Will do the ACV for two days and see. Thank you

I put ACV in their milk jug and put out a second deep container with some water and ACV. I figure they will want to come and check out the new container and will dip their faces in it. I took their waterer away for a little bit so they will just be useing the two dishes with ACV just to make sure they use it. I'll know when they do, the water will be all dirty soon! Haha

Well that didn't take long! No duck can resist a new water dish, but I threw in a little grass just to make sure!

Are there any signs I should look out for? I could only hear the stuffy nose sound when holding her, her breathing is normal and eating and energy are normal. Elsa has shown no signs of not feeling well and holding him, breathing was fine and wasn't stuffy like Ana. I know, over posting a bit, just want to make sure I'm on top of this so it will go away and not get worse!

I'd give just water with ACV for a couple days. Could be something like dryness in the air, dusty feed or bedding, watch for drainage from nares and or eyes. Swelling, worsening congestion. Sounds like she is fine but it does pay to be cautious.
here is a link about ACV http://poultrykeeper.com/health-suppliments/apple-cider-vinegar
