The Duck Thread

My kids were out feeding the ducks their crack aka peas and I couldn't help but take a video. Oh and it looks like I'm getting a cayuga this week. I think my husband felt bad since he knew I really wanted one.

I love showing Wobbles to my young niece and nephew, they can't get enough of him. Even when I talk to my sister on the phone, I can hear Olivia in the background: "Mommy can Aunt Amy let me talk to the duckie?" My nephew's just a toddler but when he hears him quack he explodes in a fit of giggles. Ah...the days when absolutely everything was entertaining. Wish I could remember those days. Musta been nice.

Thank you. They are super friendly and come running when they hear the back door unlock. I love how much kids like the ducks. Your niece and nephew are cute! It makes me so happy seeing something simple bring joys to the kids.

Here is a pic of my two ducks "Duck Duck and Lil Missy" I think she is a Sweet Emily and I know he is a Pekin.

She is you and just started laying a couple weeks ago and she is acting like she wants to sit on some eggs. She got upset when I took some of her eggs away from her. Do y'all think she would hatch them this early?

If you want ducklings and the weather is nice why not let her give it a try. they sure are pretty.

Thank you. It was almost 70 yesterday and will be 70 today! In so excited!!! The girls are going outside for good since it is only suppose to get down to the 50's for the next few days. Yay!!! Time to clean out my garage now it's full of feathers and shavings. Now I'm planing on expanding the duck house so they won't be too packed in there. I think the hubby is kinda excited about the new duck since she is already laying eggs and is 8 months old. Any suggestions on how to introduce them? Since it is only one new duck I feel bad keeping her by herself.
