So can ducks go in a garden? I have never tried but would like too...... 

Don't plan on having any vegetation of you let your ducks in the garden. I only let mine in after the season is over. They strip everything down to numbs within a few days.

Pro they don't dig, con they will eat everything ( they even ate squash leaves, and their prickly yuck! )
Pro they eat snails and slugs, and fertilize as they go
Con they eat everything

Plus if you have tomatoes, potatoes, foxglove or buttercups and they eat the leaves, it's bye-bye duckies.

Looks like someone has been dumping domestics again, aren't they gorgeous.

There was a sign there about not feeding the birdsdue to the area being a common abandon point and not wanting to over populate and create unsafe micro organizms. The coots looked really cool tho.
