Congrats!   I just got my 12 this morning too!!!!e

    They are all alive, 2 or 3 are floundering a bit but will likely be fine, One is missing an eye.  Looks like a birth defect.   But mostly good 

Yay!! Happy for you! Sorry to hear about the one eyed duckling. You'll just have to give him extra loves and snuggles lol. Maybe Metzer would refund the cost of the little guy?

My fiancé sent me these pics. He said my cat went in the brooder with the duckies and laid there purring while they slept. It's weird because before last month she had never been around birds or any other animal besides cats and dogs. I think she just likes the heat lamp, lol.

Wow, you have a really laid back cat! I wouldn't trust any of my cats in the same ROOM with the ducklings, let alone letting them get in the brooder.

Sorry to hear about your blind duckling! Are the others doing better?

Wow, you have a really laid back cat! I wouldn't trust any of my cats in the same ROOM with the ducklings, let alone letting them get in the brooder.

I had to banish one of my Border Collies. He was looking over the side of the tub drooling on the ducks. BAD dog. We're doing some remedial training with him so he doesn't see them as food. He's a really bright boy, but Border Collies get SO focused on things. He's fine with my other ducks outside, he just ignores them.

Sounds like your boyfriend is a keeper. He definitely has his priorities right. Get the picture to her as soon as possible so she can have a little peace of mind. Oh...except now you want to go home and hold them. Congrats on your new babies. If they are anything like mine you are in for the ride of your life.
