The Duck Thread

I feel so dumb asking this, but I see people on here say "dh" a lot. What does that mean? Lol

You'll likely see more abbreviations that you're unfamiliar with so here's a link to the BYC index of Abbreviations to help you out
https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/byc-index-of-abbreviations

And a glossary for other words you may be new to hearing
https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/...of-common-terms-for-raising-backyard-chickens

There is no such thing as a dumb question. The only dumb question is the one NOT asked. So ask away

Anybody want to take a guess what this little silver lady duck is made up of? We rescued her this summer, and she's quite a delight to look at. She is fairly good sized, as big as our anconas but a touch smaller than our pekins.

She is a BOAB Duck. We have BOAB Ducks and BOAB Dogs. BOAB stands for Best Of All Breeds.

hey peeps, I had 3 duck eggs in bator I got mixed up on date. One started hatching in turner, Three other peeped. They peeped in the right location on egg. since I put them in other bator with chick eggs to hatch only one has hatched. what the heck. question = why can't I leave them in turner till they pip. I know it's to let them turn. But mine seem to have turned in turner. was it just a luck this time.
