Maybe this will help you. Their pelvic is futher apart once they start laying http://metzerfarms.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-do-i-know-which-of-my-ducks-are.html?m=1
My Pekin had a hard time walking during some of her growth spurts (not all the time). She got niacin and she could always walk, but you could see it was harder some days than others and she would lay down a lot. When she got to 6 lbs, she slowed down her growth and her legs caught up and she was fine. There were some days that she gained about 15% of her body weight so it was no wonder her legs complained a bit. So I would keep an eye on her and make sure it isn't wrong (like a twist or something), but just fatigue. And listen to anyone else with other experiences. One of the Fab Five has grown rapidly and is much larger than the others. They are 4 wko now. When "Big Bird" walks, it looks like how I feel after a leg work out or riding the stationary bike too long. I've also noticed her legs shake and she sits a lot. I am supplementing with Niacin. Is this a Niacin deficiency or a sign of too much Niacin?

I hatch Calls, not 'scovies, but depends on your budget and needs... I highly recommend hand turning, or at least laying eggs on their sides and not regular egg turners, but that's not always feasible...
For cheapest good one, I recommend the Hovabator Genesis 1588... I prefer my old redwood cabinet though, lol...
I also heard that Rcoms are good, but pricey... believe they have one that turns eggs by rolling them from underneath...
Hope this helps and good luck!![]()
