Yay! I hope those two do okay! Is this duckling really sticky? As long as it seems healthy and happy I think it will clean its feathers. I don't know if they will ever change their marking techniques. If you want to guarantee what breeds you get order from Metzer Farms or Holderreads. I think it is a chocolate runner or a khaki campbell. It's definitely not a mallard. True mallards look like this.

Oh, I see they look alike? This is what he looks like now. I see one difference, the eyestripe on your duckling has a complete lower facial stripe.

She's happily living in a brooder in my bathroom!!! She was a week early assisted hatch. Her birthday is St Patrick's Day!!!
I actually think she's a welsh harlequin (dad) crossed with a khaki campbell (mom).
