Sorry, I had no idea. I have not watched the show in ages. Still, you would think that her hormones would kick in and prevent that egg from slipping through..... or does she quit nursing after x# of months?

I don't know how long she breastfeeds, but I do know that breastfeeding doesn't always cease ovulation. Any doctor will tell you that you can still get pregnant if you are breastfeeding. I'm sure there are some that don't, but after so many kids, I think her body is rebelling!

I want to say it's a 50% reduction when breastfeeding, but I've not read the what to expect book in like 6 years.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Mrs. Duggar had two children while she was on birth control that didn't make it. Then they turned over a 'new leaf' and started this lifestyle of children.

I believe that most but not all of their morals are pretty good, considering this day and age, and they're doing a pretty good job about their finances and living frugal.

But I also believe their morals and standards are belittling to women in general. I disagree with the whole 'make older kids do it' thing. Sure, kids need to learn to help out, but to do it that much, its getting overboard. I have a feeling that off the camera things are quite different.

I do have to wonder how the rest of their children will turn out in the end, being loved or not. I know my dad has 10 siblings, not many turned out very good because of the amount of them all.

Oh, BTW Kelli, you know the certain person that raises two breeds of floppy eared goats on that certain website your sometimes on, who has 12 siblings; their whole family is pretty good friends with the Duggars and often visit them it seems.

Oh, and if so many of you seem to think their fugality and self sufficiency is so great, come over to ss! It IS great, but instead of talkig about it, come over a do it!

According to the Duggar website she had a single miscarriage while using birth control pills. My thought is that she must be a fertile mertile for getting pregnant while using birth control pills. She and her husband, after reading about birth control pills, decided they had caused the miscarriage. So no more birth control.....of course about 1 in three women experience early miscarriages and maybe up to 60% of pregnancies end this way, many before women even know they are pregnant.
