The EE braggers thread!!!

I am bummed...will not get to see what my EE's turned out to be. Stray dogs got into the coop and killed every bird but one of my Light Brahma hens. Time to dust off and start over I guess

Oh sorry about that

Can anyone help me to sex my new EEs. I love the blue eggs my Ogie lays, so we got three more. I am pretty sure that Carmella and Buffy are pullets but Matilda is a giant next to them. She (he) is bigger but not at all rooish in behavior. The color is different than I am used to. She was brownish partridge at a few days old. Any ideas?

Carmella and Buffy have common, female EE patterning. Matilda is a bit different but I don't see anything that screams cockerel yet. FWIW, one of my EE pullets was massive and with rather thick legs. It just took the other chicks some time to catch up to the moose -- the two EEs and a Marans are all the same size now so she no longer stands out as being a huge chick.

I honestly don't know how you guys get those nice pics. I normally get a great body shot with a streak for a head. Here's my first egg.

So far each of my 2 EEs I got have been nice enough to give us an egg a day.
