The EE braggers thread!!!

I haven't hatched my out myself, but several people on the Texas thread have had trouble hatching with incubators this spring as well.
Broodies seem to be alright though...weird.

When I went to fill the incubator earlier this year I had a series of LF EEs, ameraucanas, and silkies go broody. There has been an active broody here since January.

The "cochins" appear to be wyandottes as they have very clean legs. I believe your EE in question is a roo.
Yes, they are wyandottes. I always get my birds mixed up, lol. Kinda glad he's a rooster though, I think even though very different breeds, all their colors are great together. Him and his 4 gals seem to stay together everywhere.

I was told the are EE.
We are glad to have them.
Spoiled rotten chickens. So social.
They like being together.
Protective of one another.
About 6 weeks old.
Still unclear on sexes.

I so enjoyed all the pictures!! They are all beautiful birds! This is my favorite rooster his name is Joseph. In the collage I have one picture of him as a chick and one as younger bird. He still has some maturing to do, but I heard his pitiful attempt at crowing last Sunday. :)

Has anyone had a Easter Egger like my Joseph? I bought them at TSC and they were labeled Ameraucana, but they do not meet the standard for that breed so I know thy are just Easter Eggers. That is fine though they are sweet and I enjoy them and that's all that matters. I do wonder if Joeseph is actually a different breed that they put in by accident.

My EE who is almost 15wks now. He/she has made no attempt to crow, even with another crowing rooster here, so back to wondering if there's a chance it's a pullet. I love the colors he/she is getting.

Streeeeetch!!

Green tail feathers starting to come in, look so cool in the sun

If he is a he, the other 4 are his girls. You can't get these 5 apart, they hang all day together away from everyone else. 2 are light brhma's and 2 are silver laced cochins, but they all blend in together nicely i think

100% absolutely roo. Mine never start crowing early, and especially if there is another roo or two to keep them in line longer,

Glad to know he is a roo then. I let my son take some of our birds to a FFA show at their school yesterday. My birds have never been out of our quiet backyard, but I thought no big deal, he really wanted to do this project. Well a horse went nuts kicking at a cow, the cow got loose, kids were running and screaming. All seemed to turn out well, the cow was caught, the kids were all fine. When I got back over to wear my birds and son was we noticed our rooster was panting hard and had his wings kinda spread but limpy. I got him out and put him in my lap and tried to give him some water and within just a few mins he started jerking and just died in my arms, I was so devastated. I only had 1 roo and he was great. Good hawk alerter, made sure all the girls were in on time and well taken care of and good with kids. I sure hope this new roo then can be as good as he was, my girls really seem depressed w/out their man to protect and take care.
