Picking up 6 more hens on Tuesday!! Can't wait to get this flock all together and going! :)
Not the greatest pics cause they are all still in quarantine.

The 1st girl has a runny nose and a cough! Gotta get some meds today! Thinking I'll treat everyone to be safe since she obviously has airborne respiratory issues. The rooster came from the same place, & seems perfectly healthy. So, I'm confused!
She didn't seem sick when I got her, just started a few days after. I've never had a sick chicken & I am NERVOUS!!!!

This is Hooter, the EE I bought at a swap months ago just cause I thought she was so fun to look at so I had to have her! Fell in love!! She is so sweet and precious!!

So I purchased this little pullet, Bandit, at TSC so Hooter would have a friend. She's almost 4 months and gorgeous!!

So these 2 adorable little pullets started my new found EE addiction! Which caused me to sell my ENTIRE Buff Orpington flock and begin searching high and low for hens!! LOVE THEM!

I'm getting 12+ EE eggs in the mail Thur. I need help! Last year I has great hatch rates 85% but this year I've been loosing 85% of my eggs!! All of them have been shipped so I know that's one strike against them from the start. I've cleaned my incubators kept my temps at 99-102* and humidity at 40ish%. So frustrated! Any hints to a successful hatch would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

I usually have 80 to 90% hatch rate. The last three have been horrible: 41.7, 42.3, 56%. I too am wondering what's up with the hatching this year.

I know! This is so sad! I wonder sometimes if the post office is playing kickball with my boxes and I end up with scrambled eggs!?!

My EE who is almost 15wks now. He/she has made no attempt to crow, even with another crowing rooster here, so back to wondering if there's a chance it's a pullet. I love the colors he/she is getting.

Streeeeetch!!

Green tail feathers starting to come in, look so cool in the sun

If he is a he, the other 4 are his girls. You can't get these 5 apart, they hang all day together away from everyone else. 2 are light brhma's and 2 are silver laced cochins, but they all blend in together nicely i think

The "cochins" appear to be wyandottes as they have very clean legs. I believe your EE in question is a roo.
