How old is Cielo? I have one the same color but he is very leggy (leghorn type) hoping he gets broader but I think he will remain lanky

He is 15 weeks old. It seems like he is getting bigger and bigger every day. Shy fellow, which I think might work well since I am trying to keep two roosters. My current king of the flock is a mature SLW. Hopefully they can rule side by side peacefully!

No clue, he was a hatchery chick from Ideal. Just hoping he held on to the blue egg gene!

I have an arcauna roo for the blue egg gene, and I was thinking my light Brahma girl for size and brown gene. I am hoping for some good OE babies. I'm putting the same roo with my EE's that are red and blue splash colored. Hopefully to bring out more blue in the babies.

Today is hatch day for my last set of EE's for the year!! Had 1 out and 2 pipped when I woke up! Best I can tell at least! Lol They, 41 eggs, are in the little LG hatcher, and its kinda hard to see what's going on in there.

The Columbian pattern has been common in hatchery EE for over 40 years that I know of . Hard to say what the original source for this gene was .

my girls are still that shade in their comb and they are 14 weeks my boy however was really red it seems like from day one. I'm not sure really if it is a boy or girl, i just wanted to put in my 2 sense

Boy . Gold in the neck and black coming in the breast says boy . Comb is also larger than a pullet at this age .
