Wow! 7 years old! How does she do at laying...? She is pretty.

Thank you! She is such a sweet girl, and my first chicken ever. I named her Cookie because when she was a chick she looked like she had an Oreo Cookie on her back.

About 5 months ago we were getting 4 green eggs a week. Lately she hasn't been feeling her best, she stopped laying and she stands on the perch almost all day.

I bet with the right roo, they could produce some real neat models.

hmmm, wonder what color EE roo would go good with them??

down the road of course. I don't want new babies anytime soon.

Love all the pics of the EE's mine are still very young 2wks and all these pics have me just dying of curiosity over what colors my girls (and poss one boy that snuck by) are going to be. I chose EE's b/c I wanted a colorful egg basket, as well as a colorful chicken yard, didn't want a flock that looked just alike, and from all the pics I think I made the right choice!!!!! I have never raised chicks before, but can't imagine a more comic group of chicks to raise.

I finally got what I've been trying for all year- bantam blue frizzle EE. Mom lays a pink egg (cochin) and dad is a bantam blue ameraucana. Still hoping it's a girl- too soon to tell though. Please excuse pic quality!
