The EE braggers thread!!!

my flock consists of 7 pens one has a trio of young black ameraucanas (a little jittery), the next has a pair of wheatens and a silkie ( the hen is pretty new to the flock so she's kinda nuts), the next pen has a trio of silkies, frizzle and a silkie mix (3/4 silkie 1/4 EE), the next pen has an EE cockerel and a silkie mix cockerel both are very confident, then a trio of silkies, then a wheaten am roo (very confident), a hatchery Cornish hen, an old silkie/EE hen (at least four years old) laid more than four eggs last year, and a wheaten am/ buff laced white Cornish EE pullet (a little too confident) and lastly is my trio of silver penciled rocks

[/IMG] do you think she is close to laying?

CG, I saw your post on the EE club thread as well and wanted to say what beautiful legs and feet your EE girl has! She looks like she's close to POL, given her size and her red face. What a cutie! I absolutely love her legs though, I'm sure the color isn't true online, but still, she's a looker :) you did manage to keep your eyes in tact after that photo? Lol

Yeah lol she stopped when I closed my eyes, and I am amazed by her leg color, it's really hard to get what she really looks like but I think those pictures are the closest. Her dad is an LF ameraucana (slightly smaller than the one in with her) and her mom is the buff/gold laced bantam in the picture which she is already bigger than

With the single comb and bit of crest, they are more likely Cream Legbar mixes.

Oh that would be good, likely get blue eggs from the CL!

I took pictures of my June girls from Meyer with my Xmas present:

Athena - not yet laying

Eos - she lays the aqua egg in the top row, started 11/18 Penelope - she lays the green, started 12/8

My girl Chestnut laid her first eggs today at 30 weeks and 3 days old! Has anyone else gotten two first eggs in one day? I always thought it would be just one

One is smaller (I assume the first one) and the other is a lot longer.

They're a gorgeous pale green/blue.

Congratulations, Chestnut! Very pretty eggs from a very pretty girl :) I don't know about a two-in-one day, but I have read about it happening rarely with the first few eggs. Is she your only potential culprit?
