The EE braggers thread!!!

I love EE!!

They are the one "breed/non breed" we can play with and add what we want to the mix and not have  SOP purest looking down their noses at us.    All these pictures have made me decide to throw a bunch of EE eggs in the incubator, using Jerry's shotgun method and see what comes out the other end!

Thanks EE'ers for motivating me.

Agreed!!! I love coming up with new looking birds and not knowing what a mix will look like. Plus I think they are much stronger and better layers when there mutts

He appears to be lavender in color . Lavender is a recessive dilution of black . So it takes 2 copies to dilute black to lavender . Your chicks will be mostly black . Eggs will be greenish if he has 2 genes for blue eggs . If not you may get some brown eggs .

Jerry can you tell me anything by looking at this guy with his lavender tail? (well, it looks lavender to me).. Does he have a lavender gene or what is he? I know you have seen him before, I am really starting to like him and want to know if I should keep or remove him.

It appears to be blue . Blue is often darker than lavender but they vary and can be hard to tell apart in some cases .
