The EE braggers thread!!!

First EE egg today so excited the chicken is only 4 months old though is it normal for them to lay that early? And the really oval I wasn't sure if it was another EE or just my silkie the rest in the basket are the silkies.

I've never had one start before 20 weeks so I'm impressed.

I was surprised also these are my first chickens also so I didn't know about laying and that kind of stuff. My silkie also started laying at four months though.

Thank you and I think I got two laying because I just cracked them open and all my silkies have pale yellow yolks but the one in question that I wasn't sure about (one of the white ones) was dark orange

I have Easter eggers coming Monday. I am looking forward to watching them grow, mature and change. I read a lot of post about Easter eggers and can't wait to share the process of my new chicks.

I love my EEs. They were incubator babies and all so unique and lovable. They are super curious and hang out with me no matter what I'm doing in the coop. Like, to the point... it's not easy to get work done in there :)

This is my favorite chicken, Pecker. (Kids named her, heh)

Rainbow the Roo

Snowball the Roo.

Group shot!

McRanch, where did you get your Easter eggers. I bought what was supposed to be Easter eggers from a lady in Hartwell. I don't think they are Easter eggers but I like them. So I ordered some from a hatchery

your Easter eggers are pretty

Thank you! I ordered them from a farm in Michigan as hatching eggs! The quality of bird that comes out is awesome, much larger and less skittish than the ones I've purchased locally from vendors. I'll eventually breed these guys but it won't be until at least next spring. I don't do Facebook currently (I'll need to start soon, I suppose) I have Instagram if you do, I can follow and see your babies as well! www.mothercluckersranch.com

Here are a few more shots! They're lap chickens :p
