Punky roo- I am green with envy! That is adorable! Where did you get it? Or what is it's parents?

I just got 12 chicks Sunday from a local feed store. 3 of which they called Ameraucana. They came from Ideal, and I read Ideal's description of Ameraucana, and it said something like 'also called Easter Eggers'. So, do I assume they are EE and not a straight Ameraucana? They have beautiful coloring, each one a bit different, and the coloring of their wings is very pretty. They also seem to be the heartiest of the 12. Are EE as a breed typically larger as chicks than others? The others are RIR, BR, BA and BSL.

hes a pretty bird.

I forgot I posted that above about the babies being bigger, but I remember my notes they weih about 15 gems more, thats like ~150% a Barred Rock but Barred Rock is a bigger chickens. Strong babies means less mortality.

For those who like larger EE , here's a 9 day old chick that looks like it will have some size .

Will be loading the 'bator Dec 11 [ God willing ] with more Ameraucana x CX eggs [ along with same roos over SS and GLW ] , and hoping this guy , pictured at 6 months , got some EE and Ameraucana fertile . They were seperated 5 weeks ago so the any fertile blue or green egg will be his .

they are mixed color or non standard ameraucanas aka easter eggers. they might be larger as chicks but the ba, br and rir will be bigger when full grown. also the rir will probably turn out to be a production red if you got it from the feed store.
