I once tried Easter Egger x SLW's a long time ago, but it was in a crummy incubator and nothing hatched.

In due time, yes. It won't be a solid white though. BTW - love your avatar!

I recently felt almost like that once, had only one chick hatch, so for a week I pampered and babied it. . . In that time it learned that under my chin and tucked into any coat or shirt I wear is where it should sleep or just cuddle, and god forbid I leave its sight!

I was wondering if anyone else got it.
I'm new to chickens, and still freak out when they sneeze, lay down, make funny noises, have strange poo....
But I never packed one around in my beard. Not yet, at least.

Here's the one I'm asking about:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/79748_commander_warf.jpg

He doesn't appear to be in molt. If he once had a fuller beard, I would guess he's either hen pecked, or been fighting with another roo.
ETA: sorry I didn't finish the thought, past my bedtime

; if he's always looked sparce of beard and muffs, I would guess he only has one copy for it................ even an Ameraucana I used to have, from a reliable breeder, prooved by test breeding to have only one gene for muffs and beard

Today I built a little chick pen and let the babies out for a little while these are my tow favorites. I love the coloring on this one.
