These are my 5 little girls at about 11 1/2 weeks. they are all EE's except the gold fluffy butt on the top (a buff orpington). clockwise from the BO (Marlena) -- The dark one on the top is Diva. Then the whitest one is Hermoine, the black and white one is Precious, and on the arm of the chair is Skeeter.

Then you might like mine, I have what I call a "Fuzzy" Roo and 3 hens. They have pink skin, 5 toes, single combs, and lay brown eggs. I plan on breeding the roo to the EE pullets, and an EE roo to the hens. They'ed probly be olive eggers unless I breed to a pale green or blue egger(which I dont have, yet

)
The rooster is lemon splash, and the pullets are barred lemon blue, splash(poss barred, can't tell), and lemon splash. I had a barred hen(great broody) but she was killed by a snake for her 2 turkey poults(2 days old). She's my avatar.

Your EE's look lots like 3 of mine. Where did you get them? Mine came from Estes hatchery in MO. I posted a group picture about 4 or 5 posts back.

When I chose to raise eggers, I was under the impession that they never go broody. Especially those from hatcheries. One of the chicks I got last year went broody in June. We were completely surprised. We isolated her in a small pen we call the "maternity ward" and gave her 8 eggs. A week ago yesterday, 6 eggs hatched, one was bad and one went missing (mice? chipmunk?).

She's a great mama.

Just wondering if anyone else has had an egger from a hatchery go broody.

Mine did when she was barely 6 months old. We didn't give her any eggs b/c we didn't need anymore chickens. She is from Meyers hatchery.

I'll try and post up some pictures of my EE chicks. All my hens are covered by an EE Roo and a majority of thechicks have some kind of beard.
