Here's some pics of our 4 newest EE chicks. From the pullet bin at the local feed store. This was about a week ago so they are larger now, they're growing like crazy!
^^ Lord Humungus - the largest chick and the one my DH suspects is a cockerel
^^ Bruce Campbell - if you ask me this one looks more rooish but it's probably the great posture and green legs. All the other chicks have dark legs but no greenish tint. (I know this isn't a good way to sex them and probably isn't accurate at all...only time will tell)
^^ Zardoz - she likes to jump out of the brooder
^^ Krull - the smallest, darkest colored chick
And here's one of the whole gang running around in my kitchen. I couldn't get them to face the camera, they don't like the flash
I also got a first egg from one of my 5 month old pullets this week, it was blue instead of green like my other EE eggs! Can't believe they are laying in this 105+ daily heat. So far the ladies have been handling the heat pretty well, haven't lost anyone and all I've done is provide fresh water and shade for them. Keeping my fingers crossed that I stay so lucky.
So I have OEG Bantams and LF Orpingtons, but I went to the feed store yesterday for more feed and saw this little cutie
and couldn't leave it there. Now I was told it is a pullet and an easter egger. I don't know much about sexing chickens or telling breeds so I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me if it is a pullet and if it is an easter egger? She has the little tufts on her cheeks, I think... what color would you call her?
Thanks in advance!

Either a Silver Duckwing with Columbian or a Golden Duckwing with Columbian or heterozygous Dominant White. It has a high chance of being a male but there's no "for sure" signs yet.
Technically the color has no recognized name, it's a mix.
beautiful Araucana, they do have the exact same coloring! Wattle is my best layer, even in 107 degree heat she produces extra large green eggs everyday. Good thing I like my chickens as pets and not for dinner because Daub hasn't been earning her keep. She's a sweetheart though.
I wonder if she'll ever lay any more eggs? (although her not laying anymore gives me an excuse to get more chickens
