Talk about stink eye.............just perfect Pamela, nice beard also. In fact they are all attractive! Since EE are combinations of other breeds their combs will vary greatly.
OOOPs I sure did confuse myself in the previous note here. But pea combs and rose combs look fairly similar unless there is a close up picture.
One of my craigslist barnyard mixes layed a green egg yesterday. Now... who was it?
Isn't that always the puzzle? The bearded one has a single comb. The clean-faced pea-combed pullet is still pale pink. The others look very Leghorn-ish so it's not likely they did it.

Those are some BEAUTIFUL EE's where did you get them?
We actually got this year's lovely ladies (and unintended gentlemen) from a local Amish hatchery called Schrock's Mother Goose hatchery. (And also thanks to everyone for all the comments. I was SO happy with the variety I got this year!
Here are my young EE's. (5-7 weeks old I think) I got them off a lady on craigslist who apparently bought them all as pullets from McMurray.
Toffee
Hazel
and Jacques. He's definitely a rooster though, look at how much darker his comb is compared to Hazel and Toffee! Not to mention, the 'peas' are much more visible. He's pretty cool though, lol.
Wow I though I needed to share this with my fellow EE followers. My 18 month old EE Ester laid a 95gram egg this morning. The other eggs in the picture are large 58-61 gram eggs.
Interesting combs indeed. I don't know what to make of them, honestly. They're probably part rose comb or something. Often pea x rose makes some interesting, weird cushion-like shapes.
