Here's one more of them raiding the big bird's pen .. most of the black, blue and splashes are Marans .. everything else is an EE

He may not be good eatin' .. but it ain't 'cause he's skinny ... Those are some porky little chicks .. they are eatin' me out of house and home .. LOL

Hatch in progress; as usual the EE's are the first to burst out of their shells. They are completely dry in there running around trying to "help" the slower breeds and playing soccer with the ones who still need to pip.

Hi there! Whatcha doin still up? LOL all my EE's are out too, and the Marans are trying to catch up. I will try to get the pics of the pretty EE's that are brown tomorrow. The camera battery died!

I had fun today, thanks Katy!

Oh, and I have 3 EE x Brahma eggs in the bator, due in 11 days. Does anyone know of or have such cross? I'm curious how they'll look. (Besides hacing a pea comb, feathered feet, and possibly lots of white) And, I know that it is almost impossible to know their egg color because the EE was the roo, but. . . Anyone know what green x pink eggs will be? Marc Antony, I'm thinking, either has boring brown egg genes or green egg genes. My only EE hen lays light brown eggs, so I'm hoping Marc Antony will give me pale olive to green egger babies.
