The EE braggers thread!!!

I suppose I should feel lucky. All my birds started around 16 weeks. Even my silkies started earlier than most. I guess that means I have happy chickens?!?

Almost a week into incubating my EE crosses--> & 34 out of 42 are doing great! I hope I get another 100% hatch on the developing ones

I think is really early isn't it? But I'm used to heavy weights like Orpingtons that start around six months or so. But no way am I waiting for a year! I got EEs for eggs and if they don't come through, well, they aren't very big, but I can still eat them!

You guys remember that barred EE I posted a while back, saying it was a boy and everyone said they thought it was a girl? Yeah. Definitely not a girl. I see very clear hackles and saddle feathers appearing. Such a shame. I may end up keeping him, as there isn't any gold leaking through, and I love barred anything.

Here's that picture I had posted where you guys mentioned you didn't think it was a boy.

and yesterday @14 weeks.

Shiny pointy saddle feathers.. but the barring is so neat for only 1 copy!

Him again.

One of the girls.. I think most of the barred EEs are boys.

Same girl

One of the other boys. Definitely a boy. No doubt in my mind.

Stanley.. molting a bit. His girls molted in Nov/Dec, and now that they are laying again, he decided it was time lol

Willow, looking fluffy and adorable.

Again

and my snowhen. You know you're jealous. She lays 4 eggs a day, and doesn't eat much at all. I'll be making a bundle off of this new breed
