The EE braggers thread!!!

All of them are pullets. I'm getting one every week. This is the schedule:
3/21/13- I get my Buff Orpington, Omelette (yes, they're all named already)
3/28/13- I get my Ameraucana (EE) Pippy
4/4/13- I get my Barred Rock Hedwig.
So they're all gonna be a week apart. I don't that will effect anything right?

One chick a week? How old are they? Usually if I only have one chick they get really lonely. One more silly question - HOW are you getting them? Special delivery?

Brrrr... that's COLD! And here I am complaining when it gets to 28. Ok.. I will wait for pictures - but they sound cute. Since the BA and PBR chicks are also EEs.. pics of them too, please?

Yes, it's crazy cold!! Pictures to come! Of all 11 little EEs.

Thanks!

Glad to hear you found a home for it. I have someone wanting to come pick up my 4 remaining 4 week old EEs and also 10 day olds that are due to hatch anyday(they are already rocking) but I dont think many eggs are gonna hatch and once they find out I might not have 10 babies for them and discover the 4 week olds are possible 3 boys 1 girl, they might back out:(  SIGH, I might be eatting alot of chicken dinner come spring.

:( I'm expecting 8 to hatch any day now. Planning to sell most, but I would like to keep a few. Hopefully I pick pullets!

Wanted to show my Blonde EE. It's my first lite colored EE. It's from a Blue/Red EE Roo and Black or Blue EE hen. Sweet chick and her bff is a silkie. They just got their own coop.

OMG! Of course i'm lookin at the Silkie in the backround on an EE braggers thread! Both of your birds are beautiful don't get me wrong, the silkie just stood out cause that's what I have the most of lol Silkies remind my of Nikki Minaj with there cute little hairdos lol.

Now this is where the friendship is tested. THe EE wants to roost the Silkie wants to huddle on the floor...
SO I mad a roost that is 2inches off the floor, so the EE can roost and Silkie huddles up under the EE.
Seems to work fo now.

Love them...

Quote: I wanted to do that, but the thing is my feed store is getting certain breeds on certain dates. All the breeds that I'm getting didn't come all in one date, sooo. The BO only came on 3/21, but then the EE would come the next week then the BR. Either that, or get the BO on 3/21 then the BR and EE would come like a month later. That wouldn't work. So, I'm getting one every week.

Any way you can get 2 chicks on the first day?

It's really unfair to the chick to be raised without a brood mate for a week. Unless of course you are with her every waking minute. They need their flock.

Um, I couldn't.

I really wish I could've, but I'll watching that chick like a hawk. It's coming to school with me!! (Don't worry I'm homeschooled. ;D) She'll be alright for a week right??? If I stuck a small stuffed animal in there for her to cuddle with at night, she'll make it right?
If you spend lots and lots of time with her. She may cry for you when you set her down, and it will annoy you to no end.

She'll get over it. She will live.
