The 2 "sexed pullets " I bought from the feed store.... Both are roosters.

Good lookin guys but I don't think my neighbors will appreciate having them crow all day.I may try to keep one unless he gets to mean or too noisy.Which one do ya'll think will give me the best shot at carrying the blue egg gene in case I end up keeping one to breed to my hens? And how are the temperments on EE roosters in general? Do they tend to be very noisy?
They are gorgeous roosters!! Unfortunately they're roosters. :p I would keep the Black and White, like what the others said. But, SD Bird Lady has a very good point. I would keep both, but make sure there are enough hens for the two of the boys.

It is up to you as far as feeding two "extra" chickens but if you are going to roll the dice on having roosters in town; I would keep both and see how things turn out. One may be aggressive or noisy and the choice would be made for you. Many times a beta(?) rooster will not crow with the alpha still around. Do you have enough hens to handle 2 boys?

If you need to choose today and if it were me, I would keep the black one. As stated before the bigger ones usually have a lower crow (less annoying IMO) and I would guess he is more likely to carry a blue egg gene. Also, if your hubby like the lighter one b/c he is more colorful. The b&w boy may get some red patches as he grows out and molts.

GOOD LUCK!!
I only have 5 hens 1 buff orp,1 new hamp red,2 barred rocks, and 1 red sex link. So I'm not sure that will be enough for 2 fellas. My house really can only hold 8 to 9 full size chickens comfortably.I will keep them around until they start crowing at least. Both are so pretty and the smaller boy lets my kids tote him around like a stuffed animal. Not sure how long that will last after the hormones kick in but its sweet right now.

Good thing about EE's is there really are no standards and as far as EE's go he is "standard"...muffs, pea comb & beard :) How old is OB? Does OB stand for Oh Brother another boy? j/k

Well it originally stood for "Odd Ball", as we had 3 Buff Orps, a Rhode Island Red - and then Lil" OB, we weren't sure what he was, LOL.
Then the gals on the Consolidated Kansas thread helped us figure it out.

But Now I think it either stands for "Outlaw Bird" Or "Outstanding Boy!"

He is quite the Coop Character! LOL
He is about 10 weeks old? Maybe 12? - I think..LOL?
We got him sometime in March..I remember that! LOL

Came out of the Feed store "Lottery Bin" - I say we got a winner! LOL
