The EE braggers thread!!!

Yes, thank you - that is exactly what I suspected. The boys looked Columbian and Golden. Their kids looked like standard Gold/Partridge EEs - I never did get any silver girls.

I received your PM, thank you.

Just curious if anyone could tell me/show me what they think my easter egger bantam chicks will look like when they grow up! I have two babies, just a week old, and supposedly female. Thank you!

So CUTE!

Well, see.. that is the cool thing about EEs, you have no clue what they are genetically - so you have no clue what they will look like when they grow up. Chicks that appear exactly the same can look completely different as adults, and the reverse is true too - two totally different looking chicks may look almost exactly alike as adults.

They are really a box of chocolates.. and you won't know until they are full grown what you have!

Enjoy them and take a lot of pictures, because they change so quickly!

P.S. - do I see some Silkies in those pictures? My other favorite birds..

Here's some examples of chicks that look alike growing up to look different...

Black/White pullet 3 cockerels - all looked alike as chicks except for the grey one

Even when they began to feather out, it was hard to tell them apart.

One of these brown/black chicks ended up being a pullet, the other three are cockerels (I don't have a current photo of the brown/black pullet - camera shy)

Here's the baby photos
