They're adorable. What color eggs did yours come from? What color eggs do you think they'll lay?
I hoping to hatch out some EE chicks later this spring. Can't wait!

They were out of green eggs. The mom was a light brown easter egger and dad was Cochin ee mix. He was blue with lemon hackles and saddle feathers.

Ugh. Lost my only 'pure' EEr this morning. No discernible reason :/ Just dead in the corner of the pen. Body weight was good, her crop was full, no visible reason. I just don't have the mood to do a necropsy to see if it was anything else.

Sorry to hear it. I too lost an EE pullet at POL (her sisters all gave me an egg the next day so if she wasn't yet laying, I would have gotten one soon). My loss was because of a possum. Got the possum; her headless body (took me a while to figure out if she was the Australorp or EE since I didn't have the comb to go by) is now in a live animal trap to catch any more predators that think my chickens will be their easy dinner.

I have had them look just like this for the first couple of weeks and
change to all kind's of colors even black and white that is the neat
part about having EE chicks ya never know what they will look like
in 6 months or a year .......
