The EE braggers thread!!!

When I started my EE pen, I purchased an "Ameracauna" rooster he has a really big straight comb and and small beard. No poofy cheeks. I knew he wasn't what I wanted, but I wanted to start hatching, so I got him. Babies are very pretty though.
Anyway, I FINALLY found what I was "looking for", although I had no idea what it was. Just knew I'd know wen I saw. And I purchased a 5 month old EE cockerel!! (I'll post pics later) He's SOOOO pretty! Now, I need to sell the other guy, but idk what to call him really! Should I sell him as an Ameracauna even though I'm not even sure that's what he really is??? I'm concerned I'll get a bad rep for being a liar!
I would not sell him as an Ameraucana, he is not an Ameraucana. Ameraucana's do not have a straight comb! Honesty is always the best policy.

Their has been a discussion on the Ameraucana thread, about buying from reputable breeders.
IMHO, a reputable breeder never sells something that isn't what they say it is. A Reputable breeder
is past honest, I have seen really good looking Ameraucanas sold as EE's when they could have easily been sold as Ameraucana's. Any breeder would agree it is an Ameraucana, however the seller may know of some reason why the bird could possibly not breed true. Maybe it was the result of a project and he knows there could be something in the birds background that may show up in someones breeding program? To me , that' complete honesty. When you look at an ad and the seller tells you something that could put you off the sale, and they did not have to tell you...that makes me trust them !
If his offspring lay green you could go with EE if you are getting a lot of brown I would call him barnyard mix
I would agree.

I sold a wheaten ameraucana pullet as an EE a few weeks ago. She had a very small beard and muffs and some spots on her chest I didn't like. The buyer just wanted blue or green layers and bought all six of the pullets I was selling. Four of them were very pretty EEs. I don't even sell my EE boys that are fathered by my wheaten ameraucana. They could be to easily passed off as bad purebreds and should actually have two copies of the blue egg gene. You'd get chipmunk babies, though.

See...that's a seller you can trust!
Wheatens are my favorite variety - I am going to use my Splash Wheaten Cock for my next genertion of EE's.

Part of the bug patrol hanging out in the shade. The ones with the silver parent can't be mistaken for purebred.

These two below could pass for badly bred wheatens.

This one is more red
