Wow! She's an amazing mother! Her chipmunk striped chicks are adorable! How many babies does she have total?

I've been thinking of moving further North. I miss fall! It's been 100+ for the past 3 weeks here in Austin, TX and looking at high 90's for another two weeks. I'm so ready for fall but we don't really get fall here.

I'm from the midwest and this is just TOO MUCH summer.

My family in CT is always telling me how this summer was so cool and enjoyable. Meanwhile in AL is hot been humid and hot. They have no idea LOL

I've been in VA for the last ten years, originally from WI. It's been hot here lately, but I will take the all around weather here over WI any day. Less humidity, winters are much more mild. No ice fishing here, but I'm OK with that. At least I'm not frozen solid for months on end!

Yes, my folks back in Kansas City kept bragging on their mild summer. I have to remember, my shut-in months are July and August here in Texas instead of December and January. I'm thinking more about Portland, Oregon mild year round but oh so rainy.

My young pullet went missing several weeks ago and showed up with several more additions

First hatch at 23 weeks with 14 hatch and the seconded hatch at 32 weeks old with 7 chicks

I like Minnesota summers and long for mild winters . I guess that is why I stay in Illinois . I just have not found nice weather year round .
