I'm the same way. I said at the beginning of the season do not name any of these chicks because if they are roos we are eating them. well I just gave away the last 4 EE I had growing out. I know that 2 are most likely roos one for sure. Actually I traded them for highlights. LOL the lady who does my daughters hair took them and will do her hair for free next time. I kept one because he is really pretty and so far well behaved. Now I have to deal with the bantam. I told my Husband he may get to serve hot chickens at the tailgate parties instead of hot wings. We've never processed a chicken. quail are so easy it just looks like the chickens would be more difficult.I usually sell straight run when they r a lot younger. Just the time of year I guess. People stopped buying so many. So they got big. I have 4 little cockerels that I KNOW of, & a few more younger ones I'm still undecided on. Lol I won't use any of them, cause my roo is soooo pretty. I'll either sell them or eat them when they grow up. Sounds horrible, but that was the plan if we had extra, I'm just "chickening" out of the plan. LMBO.
We also have baby dwarf rabbits. I sure hope I can get rid of all of them. If I cant get rid of all these miniature animals I guess we will have a winter with lots of dumplings.
