The beard gene is dominant . So if he has 2 copies of the gene then 100% of his chicks will be bearded with 1 copy of the beard gene when mated to non bearded hens . If he has 1 copy of the beard gene then 50% bearded chicks with 1 copy of the bearded gene when mated to non bearded hens .

I can sometimes make mistakes but try I to give the best info that I can .He doesn't have a big beard it is rather small, so could that mean he only has 1 copy?
