The EE braggers thread!!!

im so sorry i havent posted about any of these beautiful birds lately but ive been so busy with my own lately! ive been getting two to three hatching eggs from my EE's a day! very excity thinking i only have 4 hens! and im posting this on here to announce that i got my first very possible fertile egg from my EE's today. my poor beat up cull d'uccle hen that i have in there laid her first egg and ive seen my LF roo mount her so many times it not funny its more perverted so im hoping out of all of those times that he sealed the deal this time!!!!

LOL

I'm so excited...getting ready to start a bator of barred EE eggs. I've been crossing Blue Ameraucana roo and Black Ameraucana roo over Barred Rock hens. Doing 3 lines from my offspring this year.

I got a couple of eggs on here that were Black AM roo over BR hen. I only got one chick and she's black with no beard or muff! I'm keeping her to see what her chicks look like crossed back with another AM roo . . . I do love the look of the few barred EE's that I have seen.

I have five bantam chicks who look just like bared rocks but they are a cross between a prize winning barred rock roo and a prize winning Blue Wheaten hen. But the interesting part of it all is the rooster from the same crossing who has a blue barred coat - had no idea that was possible but he's awesome looking! Fun Fun Fun, good luck with your hatch

Sadly, the two eggs from your gorgeous white Ameraucana couple did not make it to lock down, but high hopes for the ten that did!!!

I love this thread!

These are my girls – Charming Chloe on the left and Sweet Amelia on the right. They were not raised together – Chloe joined us in August of 2009. Both lay a blue/ish egg - not alot of green tint, but not the brighter blue of Ameraucanas.

Just starting to "dabble" in mine. I have some Ameraucana chicks coming and am planning on crossing them with my EEs to strengthen the blue egg gene.

Love the excitement of a POL - what color will it be?
