The EE braggers thread!!!

OMG!!!!!! Just came home to find a hawk in my chicken yard, and she was chasing my most favoritest chicken, my EE, Blondie!!!!!

I could hear my rooster making all kinds of noise, from the driveway, and the chickens are in the backyard, about 70 yards away! When I got in the house, he was still making noise, and I could tell it was one of his " I'm very upset about something" noises. I looked out the kitchen window, and saw a hawk, on the ground trying to grab ahold of Blondie! I sreamed and it must of heard me, cause it flew off. Then, I ran as fast as my disabled hips would let me and started yelling some more, in case it decided to try again. It was so weird, because when I first saw it, I thought it was Blondie, because it was black and gold too. Until I saw it fly up to a low tree. For a split second I thought "when did Blondie get so good at flying?", then realized it was a hawk! The hawk was even smaller than her too. I immediately did a head count and everyone was accounted for. Then, I checked her over, because I did see the hawk grabbing at her feathers on her neck. Poor chickens!! I decided to lock them up in there run today, just to let them chill out. I'm so glad I got home when I did. Sorry, just had to share, still a little pumped up from it.
I would of just died if anything would of happened to her!!! She is my absolute favorite chicken. I know I posted a pic of her and my other EE earlier, but I think she deserves another. Sorry if I'm not supposed to do that

the mama to these girls is a bantam cross (I'm sure of it). She is so short and fat. She is colored like a Barnvelder.
