No, Faverolles have beard/muffs and red/gold on their bodies.

At the moment I'm selling sex-linked offspring from him, yes. I've got a blue barred girl he's covering, so the offspring will be blue, splash, or normal w/red leakage, the males will be blue, splash, or normal barred w/ even more red leakage. They'll all be rumpless and 50/50 chance of tufts. At the moment I usually sell them with combos though, like EE/Araucana/Olive Egger packages, since I only have one girl who he's over right now.

When my rumpless Sussex starts laying, she's another candidate. Should also produce sex-linked offspring, the females will be blue or black spangled orange in color.

I found my scissor beak EE dead this morning. All the other chickens gathered round like they knew it was her funeral. At least everyone else seems healthy although I'm going to miss her.

I'd like to introduce you to Sophie, my favorite little girl. She is the sweetest. She jumps on her perch and follows me around the run until I pick her up and love her. She will sit in my lap getting pet for hours and gets jealous if I play too much with the other chicks.

Because of her, I had my silkie hatch out another egg, labeled Ameraucana, but we know what that means.... and I got exactly what I wanted! Here is Fizzgig.

I like her and Sophie especially because of their abundance of earmuffs and beards. i really like that stocky look in a chicken's head.

My other EE pullet does not have that characteristic and I'm bummed.

Now I may need to try to get one of those Lavenders/ or Lavender crosses I've seen.
I really LOVE these chickens. They are quickly becoming my favorites.

Yeah, simple twine done in a lasso-like form.

- I use them on my "meat birds" so that I can get photos of them on a nice green lawn before they pass away. Gives me a good memory of all what I've raised here as well as some before/after pics. The leash is mainly for keeping them from running off. Some of the boys aren't too friendly because I don't spend much quality time with them.
