The EE braggers thread!!!

I have not heard of Monkey beak, but I do have a Wheaten Ameraucana hen with a crossbeak. I trim her top and lower beak every couple months with toenail clippers. My husband holds her and I do a quick snip, just like would a dog's toenail. Look for the quick - make sure you don't cut into a blood vessel. Mine is easy - I just trip the extra growth which is obvious. If yours is not so obvious, I'd use the dremel tool instead.

I do not know what mariposa is, but I can tell you she is not an ameraucana, they have slate legs.

She also looks like a HE to me

GACK!! Don't say that, I just got rid of two roos... I live in the city and am trying to keep the noise down. What makes you think roo? Shes got pale skin and her comb is small, I'm really new to chickens so I could be fooled, but she was sexed before I bought her at 4 weeks old.

It's time to figure out what I have in the pen!!! I have 4 EEs, 2 of which I'm sure are hens. Before I make a final decision about what to do with the roos, I wanted to post their photos just to make sure there's no mistake.

Both are gorgeous but I can't keep everyone

Edited to add that they are about 8 weeks old.

I really appreciate the help!!!

Are these EEs girls or are they boys? (The feedstore had gotten them sexed as female from the hatchery and sold them to me as girls... but I know this is no guarentee and I am getting nervous- after staring obsesively at the helpful images in this forum I see roo charateristics in my breakfast cereal)
This is Sienna

I did the same thing... Stared and studied my chicks trying so hard to determine who was a hen and who was a roo. (all 16 were sold to me as hens) Now I know why it was so hard to figure out who was a roo...they were all hens. Lol!!! Hope yours are too!

Edited for spelling..argh!
