Offspring from her x duckwing made 50/50 of duckwings and blacks. A melanotic duckwing will appear mostly duckwing throughout the body but with a blackened head, sometimes more patterning down the back than usual, but still look like a duckwing, not an over-colored Birchen.

Here's detail on my soon to lay 1/2 Ameraucana, 1/2 Polish pullet. I just love her markings, very striking and they blend into the autumn pasture well.

She is so pretty!

She should lay some pretty eggs to add to your basket! Once she starts laying, I might want to get some hatching eggs from you.

X 2 those are some gorgeous EEs, Ficker Chick We would love to see the babies in the spring. So far my EE is my best layer of a very sweet and large sage and sometimes mint green egg daily. I want more EEs also.

Illia I love that last beauty, of course most of your birds are special !

Which is what I thought she was when she was young, but, I've learned a lot about the influence of E/E on others since then.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

I’ll be sure to post pics of their future offspring. Fingers crossed for a nice pea combed, slate legged son to backcross with.

If I can find the blue thread, I'll do that DMRippy. This site moves pretty fast for me some days.

And I love the 1/2 Ameraucana, 1/2 Polish pullet. She looks like attitude walking.

I came home tonite and gave a new name to our EE pullet formerly known as BabyChicken. My co-worker asked me to name one after her. I just adore working with Donna, she's one of the finest med-surg nurses on the planet! So I showed her a pic of BabyChicken, and she

will come meet her soon so greet her namesake! See how Donna is lovin her new name? She gets a real kick out of it!

Donna is 3 months old. There are bright blue ears under that beard and wingie tufty things. Any chance she might lay a blue egg?

Blue egg? . . . . She might.

Green egg? More likely.

What are her parents? Do you know?

Mom, sold to us as Americauna but from photos posted on BYC people say she's an EE, she lays buff tannish pinkish eggs:

This pullet has black, long, fancy feet. They're smooth and soft, like reptile skin! Her mom has greenish gray feet.
